Email Submits VS ZIP Submits

I am planning on promoting email/zip submits soon, and I was wondering what you guys think converts better. I would guess that ZIP Submits would, because the user does not feel as if he/she will get spammed. But I do not know much about it.

It really depends on the quality of your traffic and if your getting shaved. I have ran both zip and email offers. Both of them usually have the same epc but sometimes I will get an email offer that has higher epc .10-20 more. I haven't ran many zip offers to say its better. Overall I think they both run about the same.
 
since we're on this topic, ive been wondering why do people pay for zip codes? i can understand why they pay for emails (so they can send them offers again later), but uh zip codes? lol can anyone explain? thanks

the pay for zip codes because many people who fill in their zip code continue to fill in other infos on the second page of the cpa offer which will lead to valueable data for the advertiser.
 
the user entering their zip code is completely unnecessary these days since there are geotargeting scripts that can track down which city your IP is in.

it's purely for the psychological effect of the user entering in their zip code and then getting local targeted results because of it. the site could easily just display a local geotargeted page right from the start, but apparently that grabs people's attention much less than if they had already entered their zip code beforehand.

I think for know the city they don not need to zip code. Because they can easily find out the city by tracing IP. Am i right or wrong?

Correct. You can go to any whois site and find where an IP is.
 
But sometimes your ip is 100's of miles away, so geo is not always accurate.

If you enter you zip I I then tell you that we have job openings in your town, then you are more apt to fill in the info I am asking, same goes for product testers, what ever.

That's not what he meant though, I believe he wanted to say how your location can be known from your IP address, not a website's IP address.
