I came across this method in a mall just around my area. It was a stall, 2 good looking girls that are very good at convincing people, guys specially, and a flat screen television showing what you can get if you register by submitting your email and confirming it. They even said they'll add your email in a smal raffle draw. We all know that it's pure BS, but I found it really smart. Lastly, 2 computers in which a page is open ready for sign up.

They also gave away small keychains, water bottle, and small things in return.

I tried it, forgot exactly what CPA company as I was just redirected to the sign up page. It thought it was smart, and honestly speaking, they fooled a lot of people.

Though, I still doubt how this works. Conversion rate would be 100%, same IP, and a lot more.

    Any insights on this?

Not a problem as long as the traffic is converting for the advertiser, and you would need to be making sure they are filling out Page 2 and not just the Zip/Email on Pg1.

Although... I have a much better way to bank from 2 Hot Bimbo's a laptop and plasma screen ;)

What are the implications though? Wouldn't it be too suspicious if all email are registered with the same IP?

    mind sharing? ;) hahaha

There are many people doing these kind of things. Also with Valentine or something I heared someone talking about such a method.

Anyways what you can do is talk to your AM (Affiliate Manager) and make sure he is up to speed if he doesn't mind and agrees to the method it won't be a problem.

If the networks software is only counting 1 per IP then you've got a problem, but if not you should just let your AM know you're doing this. They might be suspicious but they'd probably at least wait to verify that you're sending good leads.

Probably they got permission from their am to do this. I would give green light if someone would like to invest on a 37 inch tv and stall rent (goes around 2-3k a month) to promote an offer. Someone has to be an idiot to make all that investment without getting an approval first.

What CPA companies would allow this though?

most networks would be fine with it as long as you discussed it with your AM first.

it's not like they just blindly insta-ban everyone that gets above a certain % conversion rate, without even looking at the lead quality. that would just be retarded.

    Like the above posters said.
All you have to do is talk to your AM about your advertising.
I don't know why people are so afraid to even contact their AM...
I have discussed black hat techniques with many of my AMs and sure a few of them did not go with the flow but that didn't get me banned or anything.

The rest were cool with the ideas and some have even become my business partners. :)
    Don't be afraid :p

A more profitable technique would be using the "Simple Saturday Method" that cropped up a while back.

Same fundamentals but instead of just making a $ or two from each user signing up via email, you'd instead be signing them up to rebill offers such as Acai diet pills and teeth whitening kits and banking a lot harder.

In saying this, I never did find anyone who actually reported as having used this method as I had a long hard think about it and there were definitely some problems that would need to be solved before launching like:

    1. Multiple orders from same IP, admittedly this is easily solved if AM talks to merchant beforehand.

    2. Would likely have to read out the terms and conditions to people and in the process removing the whole reason that the rebills convert so well (most people don't read the terms online when signing up for trial).

    3. Biggest problem would be the negative publicity that would almost definitely be generated within a few weeks. Angry customers returning and claiming "they never knew" about the rebill would be the most likely occurence. Also it would only take one story about your "scam" in the local newspaper to destroy your business overnight.

If anyone has successfully done it I'd love to hear how it went.

oh and asking for their credit cards is quite an annoying problem too. Same ip should be fine with this one because their banking regardless.
