A few weeks ago i tried to Hire someone to scrape a website for all the emails out there! I got a good response but a funny range of prices for the same job! The cheapest price was a guy willing to copy and paste every single entry, i thought that wasn't that bad until i found out it was hourly priced and could take a few months! Since then i have been trying to read about scrapers and different systems i could use: Here is where i need your help.

Since i have a mac most of the scraping softwares out there dont work so i have to try something else.

I downloaded sitesucker and eMail Extractor for the mac. I plan to download the entire site locally and then run the extractor!

I need to know what the pros and cons are for this method and will it give me my final result?

eMail extractor is a very powerful tool to extract email addresses from all kind of files. eMail extractor is very fast, easy to use and multithreaded. eMail extractor retrieves absolutely all valid email addresses from any file and generates an output file with only good and well formatted emails without duplicates. eMail extractor supports drag and drop from Finder with both Mac OS classic and Mac OS X like any other Macintosh tools.

Yep sounds like it will work fine.

I used scrapebox tool long time ago and I had nice results. You can try to see how it works

Get a Windows VPS and run all your tools from there via remote desktop. There are dirt cheap offers in the hosting section.

You probably will get better results on the want to buy section or the hire a freelancer section. If you don't know how to do it yourself, it'll take you months/years to learn.

Yeah, prices will vary. No qualified programmer is going to sit their butts and work hours for $5.
