So many offers on my CPA network are "email only." How does the AM know if I'm promoting via email or not? Because of the referrer (ie, referrer would be hotmail.com, yahoo.com, aol.com)?

And, is converting with email more difficult than from landing pages? It would seem so, as it's hard to communicate as much in an email as a landing page.

If you cover your tracks right they won't know if its email or not, but they might ask questions if it doesnt show referers from an email site on most of your traffic. For the most part its just a question of if your traffic makes them money, if its converting well for them on the backend they usually won't look to closely, provided they don't get complaints. All depends on the network.

Just make sure you blank the referrers and its all good. If they ask why its blanked just say you bought a new domain and redirected it to the offer.

When a network says that an offer can only be promoted through search, how would they know if it was traffic coming from social media, SEO etc?

Doesn't seem like this would work for the long term.

I think they really want to see only aol.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com etc. referring domains.

Just wondering if it's worth buying email lists and emailing them CPA offers, or if this is an unprofitable way of pursuing conversions.

Affiliate.com. Lots of their offers are "email only." Don't know if they take Indians or not.

All you guys have to do is request special permission from your AM to do the offer on search. I've never been turned down.
