Email Marketing

So, i know the basics of email marketing. Find a niche, get organic opt ins, create a converting campaign etc.

But im wondering, lets say i have over 250k emails, is there any way to profit off of said emails? Because they arent targeted, they didnt sign up for anything, i just have them. Should i sell them, email them, or what are your guys opinions? I can grow said list to over 5million within 30 days if i find a way to actually profit off of them. Just figured you guys would know best.

Alright, that's what i figured. I'm building a legit list, it's just slow. Always looking for other streams of income though!

You could email them (not all at once) with like a survey in which you could sort the emails into different niches. Something along the lines of which gift would you like to be entered for and have a health gift, gambling gift, gardening gift, etc and once they click that link you can they categorize them and split your list. This also helps you weed out the non active emails as I'm sure there are plenty of those.

How big is your current list? And how long did it take?

Depending on your budget and/or niche, you could invest some money to build that list much quicker. Either way, once you have that list bro, you can monetize it until it's dead, then monetize it a little more

I like that idea alot. Is there like an autoresponder type of way to do this? (im sure theres an automation way, im really new to email marketing. Im a network marketer getting into internet marketing)

Only a few, i literally just started it 3 days ago. I haven't promoted my traffic source or anything yet, im still building proper opt-ins and landing pages as well as popups.

Do you just have these 250k emails in a file but not in an autoresponder yet? If so yea you could choose mailchimp, aweber, getresponse (those are the top 3 I know of) but then your approach is different. To upload those you will need to upload some at a time (maybe 500 or 5000 I'm not sure what a safe number is) and they will be asked if they want to join your list that way. I personally have not tried this but maybe you could set the thank you page as what I stated in my previous post to still sort them out.

Edit: Just remember to never tell an autoresponder company that you purchased the list because they will not allow it for the most part.

I scraped them from FB groups and my friends list/twitter/insta.

And they're all just chillin in a CSV.

The problem with dropping them all in one list, is Aweber and sites charge more for emails. So i want to filter them first atleast so i know which ones actually have value. Because if only 5000 out of 250000 are potential clients, i dont wanna waste money on the extra 245000.

Ok well in the case of 250k emails and the fact that you said you can get up to 5 mil. I would upload 4500 and clear the inactive then upload more keeping the total list under 5000 until I have 5000 active emails then the next aweber tier is 10k so I would upload until 9500 and clear inactive again. rinse and repeat and hopefully you can get 25,000 active subscribers because by then the money paid to aweber would not matter once you start monetizing.

dont drop into aweber or similar service, they will ban you. the email that you have might have more than 20-30% bounce rate.

clear the bounce email first and
email them with smtp your product or service.
There will be some people who will open your email - export those to a list and send them email regularly to warn them up. ( great headlines give great open rate.. google)
and some will click - same export and make a new list and follow up.

you may import these opener and link clicker to aweber or similar service and you will have good email open rate and ctr and you will have people who are interested in your offer.

Yeah, with a list like that, bounces and spams will get your email account banned pretty quickly. For example, I've seen people get banned from Amazon SES for spam reports of .4-.5%

That's 4-5 spam reports per thousand emails!

Here's part of Amazon's policy. Many other email providers are similar:

Now aweber needs a optin page to prove that you have acquired them legally and not scrapped them try the first 1000 and see what happens, there are service to clean them as their are loads of spam traps in emails like this. Mailchimp i have a bad experience got banned after sending a few emails

So, does anyone have any recommendations before i try trial and error of how would be best to go about filtering? Any programs, or procedures? Im still really new, so i'm going to most likely take everyones advice and go on a google rampage and see what i can find, unless anyone has personal recommendations.
