Email marketing Pinterest niche

Hey all, just wondering your thoughts on the Pinterest niche for an email marketing initiative? Do you think this niche will bring with it targeted buyers? Would any of you guys recommend I gradually 'hype up' a Pinterest affiliate product over time, or is it safe to market other related social media products? I'm a bit new to email marketing and just looking for some direction here. Thanks in advance for any input!
