Hi
Is there anyone here that uses Email Lists to promote CB products? I know building a relationship with your subscribers is a vital part on selling your products to them. Can you leave a comment below and tell me how you built that relationship with your subs? Ex: What emails did you send, how often did you email them etc? It'd be really appreciated.

A basic 'rule of thumb' with building relationships through email lists is 5 content emails for every 1 promo email you send. Though some people can subtly work an offer into content and can therefore send promos more frequently. But if in doubt, it is better to send 'too many' content emails then going gung-ho with the promos - that would quickly kill your list.

The nature of the content will obviously depend on your list. For example, if your list is related to back pain, than obvious content topics could be-
Tips for back pain
Tips for better sleep (since people with back pain will often have problems sleeping)
Articles about foods that decrease inflammation
Tips on increasing mobility
Tips on healthy aging (since people with back pain tend to be older)
etc

When you get your visitors to submit their emails, how many content(tips, tricks , strategies) emails should I send before I send my first promotional email?

P.S : Thanks for your reply

mancar487 suggest 5 emails of content, and then the promotional one.

Building relationship with clients through Emails is good marketing option and tool. However, keep in mind that your emails needs to be well structured in promoting your product and don’t send too many Emails, otherwise nobody will take you too seriously

I read somewhere that on average it takes 7 emails before someone will buy from you, obviously you need to send quality information in the emails but don't be afraid to keep sending them until they buy.

In my opinion they either buy or unsubscribe and if they unsubscribe they were not going to buy anyway so makes no difference.

The reason you build a list is to make money I think sometimes people get scared of sending too many emails in case they annoy someone but at the end of the day we are trying to make money not friends so keep sending until they buy or unsubscribe.

With what frequency are you sending emails? One email per day? Every 2 days? Once a week?

Another question about email campaigns. What about an introductory email welcoming them to the blog/site before the Tips/Strategies/Foods/Articles chain begins? This email might be different than the '5 email series followed up with a promotional email' I would imagine with something like: Welcome to our blog. Here are our social media channels/follow us here, Check out these very popular articles that everyone likes, Here is our featured product. I know what you're saying, 'slow down speed racer, chill out on the selling'. I was doing research on popular blogs to check out their sales funnels, so I subscribed to the Paleohacks newsletter to see what they throw at me, literally the first email is a welcome email with like 10 digital products among other things (I recommend checking out their blog for ideas on how/where to place ads).

I send email out daily, I think a welcome email is a good idea for a blog as you don' really want to hit them straight away with a sales pitch then I would gradually start adding some recommendations in future sendouts.
