I worked for a gaming website and have a email list of over 1.7 million email addresses, i was wondering how i can use this to make money.

Actually, when using email marketing, you send to 1000 people, you get only 1 customer, it's still successful.
Because you have a large number of email, you should consider:
- How to choose the method to send email that emails don't go to Spam folder.
- What is the title that make the "customers" curious and open it.
- The content of the email that make the customers visit your website, find out more information about your product.
- You should use software that help you customize the email that proper to each customer.
- What is appropriate time to send?
These are some guide that I learned when I was Marketer. Hope it's useful to you.

So, if i need to send 100 or 1000 mail per hour or day, i must have a smtp server for have a good rating ?
I can't do myself with somes proxy and using a software like Atomic Mail ?

you have an email list here is what you could do
1. sell the email list
2. Send affiliate campaigns to your list
3. try to sell them gaming products for margin, list them on amazon or ebay
4. set up a gaming site and build a loyal visitors base through this
inorder to make most money try option 2,3 and 4, more virgin list the better, setup a VPS to send emails or hire someone to send them for you.
I have personally tried & tested these methods and it works like a charm!

I have personally tried & tested these methods and it works like a charm!
If you work through Codeacademy, it'll teach you basic JavaScript which can be used to create flash games and even some 3D games. After that, start working on some 2D games with something like Unity3d or a game creator that doesn't need coding. Create a few flash games (it's really not too difficult after learning the basics of JS) and try marketing them to your list. With a list that big, you can probably create a 4-5 and sell them for $3 or $2.99 and make a killing if they're decent.
First before any of the above you have to know your list. Meaning you have to verify all the emails. Have a suppression list so you don't get shut down when sending. Next, are they USA address or Worldwide email addresses. You'll have to work on a creative to send and a way to have the emails hit the in-box. Everyone here seems to be selling the platform but that is only the first part which is the platform is the gun and the email are the bullets. You need a way to get your bullets(emails) to hit the target enough time to get some openers and clicks on your offers. I have the platform already set up if you want to do something like a revshare but I would need a sample to test and see if your list is any good. Emailing is not an exact science and the ISP's are doing everything to stop spammers. so if interested pm me. ps. you all goes well you can make some great money.
