Email list worth anything?

I have an email list of 30k - all people that are trying to earn money online/gain traffic.

I think at a bunch of the emails in the list are fake/are not used regularly.

1) Anyone know how to weed out the fakes
2) Anyone know how much it might be worth

Not sure about the worth but try sending them a link to a free offer. Track however many accept/unlock the offer to see how many are active.

You can check them by getting bounce rate/open ratio. Never know how much it will bring to you, until you send them all.

It's called a cold list and it is almost impossible to tell whether it's worth warming them up, as I have no clue where they came from (How and for what they signed up).

Filtering a list like that takes time and probably some cash for the setups.

Could always split the list up and sign up for a free account to mailchimp and promote a bunch of MMO offers to about 500 of them. Just to see wat happens and move from there. (They won't like it thought)

A 'bunch' of emails are fake... How many? It's impossible to put a value on a list without knowing how many are real or not..

Try to avoid nicks which have a lot of number digits in them.
