Email List & Email Submits At The Same Damn Time!

Whats going on BHW, I'm trying to figure something out. Was talking to a friend couple months ago, he mentioned he was using email submits to also capture emails for his email list. I just wanted some insight on how this is done?

Email submit, when the user puts in their email, the email also gets sent to my email list? Is this iframing or? I have no idea. Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you!
