Ok, so this might sound a little crazy, but I have never bothered with linkedin until this last week when I needed to start searching for leads for a project I am working on.

First off, Im super happy with how linkedin is going to fit into my marketing strategy and I will be focusing a fair bit of effort there.

After pimping out my profile and making my first 20 connections, I started to look for other ways to get to the final goal of a new conversion.

I found a great tool called Anygrowth

Once you add their chrome extension and start browsing search results on linkedin, you get a nice button next to each profile.

Clicking the button will work some magic and they will go through various methods to find that persons contact email. It works about 70% of the time.

Their basic plan is 49 bucks for 400 leads, which is like 12 cents a lead. So if you are willing to pay per lead then this is a cheap way to find laser targeted leads for your product.

That's That's a nifty little tool there sir!

Having worked as a recruiter and extensively using linkedin for prospects, make sure to look under contact info, many leave their emails there for public view.

Secondly, join focus groups because you can message members of your group one on one for free.

Finally, if you have an email address for one person at a company that's [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] - then email for everyone else working there will be the same format.

Don't spam linkedin or you'll get banned pretty quick. New profiles mean shit, you need connections to even view proper search results. To make multiple profiles functional, head over to fiver and buy connections and endorsements for $5.

Good luck! The possibilities with LinkedIn are endless.

they scrape the profile using the extension and use https://www.fullcontact.com/ to revert email, contact info. They sit their api in the middle.

If you ever want a similar product that you resell, let me know :)

Useful information shared right there! Thanks. I'll be waiting for an update on the email leads, I'm planning on using it too as most of my projects depend on lead results.

I have found that scraping emails using these tools is not extremely effective for generating leads. Very time consuming and then you still need to email them and deal with ISPs. I mean I guess it depends on the niche you are going after but what I have found much more effective for lead generation is sending connection requests to people in targeted niches and then sending InMail to the people who accept the requests. You can send inMail for free to people who accept your connection request. What is even more effective is having the primary emails of targeted Linkedin members and then importing those emails into your Linkedin profile (since there are no limits on how many emails you can import). I have a searchable database of 200,000+ Linkedin members's primary email addresses if anyone is interested. You can search my database by keywords used in their profiles, their titles, industries, email types, etc.

Angrygrowth sounds a lot like a tool ive used in the past called 'find that lead'. Also an extension within chrome. Type in the first and lastname and it should give you an email address with a propability indication of the accuracy. Tool is pretty lame. All guesswork. Even when users mentioned their email in their profile, the tool came up with some bs.

On another note, you won't get great results emailing people on their (primarily) business accounts. An email from someone they dont know will be at the bottom of their priority list. The same goes for InMails.. people only get commercial offers in their inbox...they have grown immune to them.

As a former LinkedIn employee, i might write a post one day with some tips and tricks..
