Actually it's switching away from Nigeria now and countries like Cote D'Ivoire and Ghana are on the up, the Chinese are getting in on it too as are the Eastern Europeans/Russians. I'm a 419eater member and we are seeing a bigger mix of nationalities involved. The global loss to these scammers is impossible to estimate as the vast number of crimes goes unreported but it often is the elderly and/or financially desperate who fall for it. As was posted earlier people have flown out to meet the scammers and been murdered so it is not just cash at stake.

blkflg. You would be surprised. I have a few virgin emails ( ones that are new and have never been used ) and yet I still sometimes find myself getting a few of these emails on my virgin accounts.
Ive found that hotmail is a lot more prone to the Nigerian Scammers.
