Email deliverability

Hi guys,
we want to send out bulk B2B emails with this setup:
- We want to send around 1k emails. I guess this is very low amount so we wont need ultra professional process with own email server etc, correct?
- Use our own domain, around 2 years old. The domain itself was never used to send any kinds of spam.
- In every email we use the persons name and company name to make it individual.
- We dont use spam-trigger words or links in the email.
- We create new email address for sending emails on our custom domain.
- We plan to use Google workspace (or other webhoster with email service) to send emails and we send through Gmail with something like mail merge: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/12921167?hl=en

Questions:
1. Is there anything in our setup that could cause us failing / getting high spam/block rates?
2. Is email address age relevant at all for spam filter (not talking about domain age but email address age bc we create new email on custom domain)?
3. Is it a good idea to use the Gmail way of sending emails or will it cause spam triggers?
4. Any other ideas how to maximize delivery rate?

The best thing you have there is the Google Suite since you're sending 1k.
 
Make sure that your list is clean.

Make sure that your content doesn't have spammy words.

Use spintax to avoid sending the same content to your list.

If you're using multiple Gmail or G-Suite accounts, make sure to respect their limits and use proxies.
 
To avoid landing in the spam folder the content of your emails, the reputation of your sending IP/domain with the recipient's ISP, the quality of your email list, and proper authentication settings (DMARC, SPF, and DKIM) all play a significant role. Additionally, recipient engagement is crucial. If any of these aspects are not optimized, your emails may be marked as spam.

The reputation of the sending domain associated with your email address determines whether you're considered a trusted sender, not the email address itself. A poor domain reputation increases the likelihood of your emails ending up in spam folders or being blocked by ISPs.
 
If you're using Google to send the emails, use can use Google Postmaster Tools to get more insight into the deliverabillity.

Started sending only 10 mails per day. Its B2B emails from linkedin. Sent out 50 so far, got one positive response. For B2B outreach its a good thing but mass B2C I think you wouldnt be able to send enough emails. I used YAMM to send these emails, it also tracks open rate etc. We have open rates of around 20-30%. You can use GPT for Sheets to make your emails more individual or "naturally" input further data into the email that you've researched about the target company/decision maker. YAMM is free and non-branded for low sending quotas. The lead list I bought from a guy with linkedin sales navigator. Its very simple and if you dont have the balls/time for cold calling its a very interesting alternative.

Your IP address has been used for spam in the past. Past recipients of your emails have reported them as spam. Your emails have a low number of people opening them, making them seem irrelevant and spammy to email clients. You're using spam trigger words that make you look spammy in the inbox.

there are some AI websites where they do the part of email from linkedin automatically

Try to build a connection if you can. A joke or something of humor differentiating you from the other emails they get can be the difference between a spam report or just a deletion.
 
Gsuite or Amazon SES are enough to handle such sending volume. You don't necessarily need a custom SMTP server for this timy amount.

Wouldn't AWS SES suspend him quickly for cold email? I thought they were aggressive with this?

Oh true that. I don't recommend SES for cold email. I never knew OP was going to cold email.
 
Has anyone tried this with OVH? If you have a domain with them, you can purchase an MX Plan for about $35 (one-time, no subscription) and create up to 1000 email addresses.

I wouldn't recommend OVH and anything email.... lot of spammers from there

Hey bro, could you please explain how to use proxies if I use multiple Gmail accounts, a little bit more? Like sending those multiple campaigns through proxy servers?
 
Definitely dont use OVH their ports are open by default but spammy. Going through Gmail's servers is probably the best as long as you dont abuse any limits.

Hey, its been a few months now, I would love to hear an update on your mass email journey as I am trying to do something similar with a new domain. Are you sticking with the methods above, or have you found something better?

I have always been skeptical about the open rates reported because I thought that the major email providers like gmail just 'open' and cache all emails received so it artificially inflates open rates.

Also, how have you been testing for whether you are landing in gmail spam folder? I had tried doing a mass email send once previously but then I tested an email sent to my own gmail account and it landed in spam...
