Hey, wondering if anyone could guide me in the right direction. We bought a list of email addresses and want to send a "cold" blast out. What services are out there that we could use? Basically I am guessing a third party with whitelisted ip/servers so our emails get delivered. Thanks in advance.

Depends on what you want to do.

You can use a third party sender or smtp service like sendgrid, mail chimp SAS etc. You can google for tons of SMTP service providers.

You can also send from your shared or dedicated hosting using a free wp plugin called mail poet or use your hostings smtp to relay outgoing messages from a email blasting app like the one in my sig (screenshot of module below). It all really depends on what you are trying to do specifically for what features you will need as well as the amount of volume you will be doing.

Thanks for responding. Well the goal is to use a service/ server that is whitelisted to maximize delivery, and of course we'd want to track clicks, opens, etc..standard stuff.

It entirely depends on your budget and need. Since for email marketing it is always tough to pass the content test.

Mailchimp is an easy one you can try with basic first later on you can switch it to the premium!

Or else you can go to the traditional one! :)
