So this is really strange...
I got an email from an uk based media buying company, asking for an guerilla ad posting in of my best blogs of my private network. i was astonishe how they got my email, since it is nowhere on the site and whois is protected.

I said okay and told them the price (which is not small on this 9 year old blog). they agreed and askes if mor if this blogs are available. They wanted to see a list.

i sent them a partially list with 10 of my blogs with the highest quality to convice for abbig buy to a total unreasonable price.

today the first url i did sent them (the 9 y o blog) is deindexed.

call me patanoid but i think the next 10 will follow soon...

google are chopping down private blog networks. maybe you just outed yourself to one of those 22$/hr google quality assurance employees.

Yeah, that was what my paranoid mind told me also - but I really really cant imagine this. This is too low level for google.

I think SEO needs to go in the direction of "ghost" services.
No reports, no information, etc...is the only way to stay safe.

Interesting. I get asked to post links for 'clients' for a price often, but I either never reply or say no. Pretty interesting it could possibly be google. Even if it's not in this case, potential is there.
What's also interesting was that I was interested in the service these guys provided, and I've twice replied asking for information and they never replied.

Could be true, I've seen Matt C. talk about people emailing him for
link offers. In which he asks for a list of blogs, and then "takes care
of that problem"....

My recommendation is to always think twice, especially with how crazy
Google has been getting as of lately. Its obvious they are serious about
taking action, so check and double check before just providing a list to
someone random like that.

No It was about buying an article spot for a client of the company.

Until now the other blogs I sent them are still indexed. It is somehow strange, because I'd never "blast" my blogs.

That was an email i got for a blog i sumbitted in ALN and had private whois and there was no contact us page. A couple of days later of my response it got deindexed, perhaps it was just a coincidence cause a lot of ALN blogs got deindexed that period of time

My opinion is that you gave the list to a competitors for a website you are trying to rank through this network.

They wouldn't be able to find all your network so they asked you for it, and they delate you to google.

Quite low, to be honest.

But i don't see google bothering that much for a private network which doesn't weight a lot.

Dude I got the same freaking email and now it's freaking me out because I got to the point where they asked me what other websites I had and I sent them a list and then never got a reply back! I haven't used blackhat techniques on the blogs that I sent "her" links to and haven't had any negative impact (I think) *crosses fingers*

But wow, I guess everyone should be careful of this now. When did you first get the email?!

Google is an ICANN Accredited domain registrar. Whois protection won't hide your domain ownership info from them.

yes - it has been the exact same email you sent me by PN!
Too bad i dont have anything on the records, so I did not check the headers / ip.
