Elon quitting twitter!

Unfortunately, Elon Musk thinks that one can manage a social media platform's company in the same way that a hard-core tech company is managed.
99% of people feel that all rich people are rich, ONLY because they are intelligent. In reality this is not the case. There have been millionaires and billionaires who went broke. If all rich people are rich ONLY due to their intelligence, then why do some of them go broke ?
People think that just because Elon Musk had achieved the pinnacle of financial success, he will always remain on top at that pinnacle. In reality that may not be the case.
Buying Twitter was great. But, buying Twitter for US$44 billion was not great. The way he has managed Twitter after his take over of Twitter, is far from anything great. It has been almost 2 months since Elon Musk acquired Twitter, let us still wait and see what "intelligent" and "genius" strategies he comes with (so far NOTHING, infact so far his management of Twitter has been nothing but almost a disaster !!! )
 
He bought twitter for 44 billion with the hope of selling the blue verified icon and bring back Trump to Twitter. Failed terribly on both. Now he pretends to abide by a popular opinion when we know he's hanging on a thread.

Head of Twitter so he fires himself and creates a new role wit the same responsibilities and creates engagement

Picks all no as bot accounts and bans them

Twitter users have voted in favour of Elon Musk stepping down as the platform's chief executive after the billionaire ran a poll on his future.

A total of 57.5% voted "yes" after Mr Musk asked his 122 million followers whether he should stand down.

Mr Musk, who bought Twitter for $44bn (£36bn), said before the poll closed that he would abide by the result.

The technology tycoon, who also runs Tesla and Space X, has faced much criticism since taking over the site.

Mr Musk is yet to comment since the poll closed. Even if he were to resign as chief executive, he would remain as Twitter's owner.

More than 17.5 million users voted in his poll on Monday, with 42.5% voting no to Mr Musk stepping down.

I never expected him to head twitter for long, he just need to head it for a short while to fix things he needed to be fixed. Once done, he would definitely find a suitable CEO.
With or without the poll, he was always going to do that. He just used the poll to make Tweeps feel they're powerful/important.

BTW, I'm not saying all of you are not powerful/important.

1-I'm not an American, but I follow their politics closely. the next election will be definitely in Trump's favor. Elon is trying to give platform for the Right to be buddies with them. Especially Trump. Once he win the election and becomes president. Anything he asks for will be his.

2-Just a shot in the dark but, I believe that Elon doesn't like his transgender (son?). It would be crazy to think that he did all of this to "own" him/her. but it's just a guess.

agree on this, not like tech company is his speciality.
doesn't change much since the new ceo need to follow elon anyway.
the poll seem exist to justify his action.
 
Twitter thrived to where it was at without Elon
Elon's being kicked out of CEO won't "kill twitter"
Until there is another "next big twitter" social platform, twitter won't die.
Nothing really dies until there something else to bandwagon on, and yes, insta, fb etc does not count.
 
He will still be in control even if to show the world that he is stepping down.
 
I think all this game is to avoid paying too much taxes this year.
We don't see the full picture here
