Elon Musk

How can you guys not see that it's all a show?
Musk has never been a retard, and I doubt he turns into one over night.
All he's doing is being a "unpredictable idiot" right now, shifting the focus away from other things.
There have been many great individuals before Musk & and the age of Twitter to do so. Amusingly enough, even Nikola Tesla.

I disagree with this, especially regarding his Tesla tweet.

Tesla was already under investigation by the SEC and subject to subpoenas for two other issues. The tweet about taking Tesla going private has added another dimension to the existing investigation and now there is another subpoena.

All Elon Musk has done is draw further investigation by the SEC, which is completely the opposite of what he should have done.

Edit: I should add I am by no means an ORM guru - but in these situations, most advisors would tell you to stay completely quiet. I'd be interested to know what @Sherb and @BHopkins think about this from a ORM viewpoint.

My contribution is that just because you went somewhere you shouldn't suggest someone else has had a greater than 90% chance of sex with children. Maybe he will add you to his court case.
Your lack of contribution comes from failing to admit your lack of knowledge of things many grown up men take for granted.
So I will spend no further time explaining what you would know, if you had more experience in international traveling.

Huh? My contribution is innocent until proven guilty, and thats nothing to do with anywhere I have been in the world. I asked for your evidence, not hear say. Im not the one on a thread thats already ranking on Google suggesting with a 90% chance he had underage sex.

do you live in Thailand or have you been to Pattaya or heard of it?
I visited nearly every Asian countries, and Thailand 4 times I think; coincidentally I never went to Pattaya and probably never will.
so the type of person as described in OP staying there 30 years, and given that in this country no one will ask for your ID to see your age ... etc etc
my own assumption is 90% chance, so does not mean he did it; it just means he decided to live at the exact place in the world where this can happen easily, cheaply, and at near no risk.

edit: I am not saying Elon is correct; I am saying if you live in Pattaya for 30 years and want to sue Elon, you'd better be clean.

edit2: have you what they are doing in US to the latest high courrty

That's obviously complete nonsense lol. Also, Elon Musk called him a paedo, not accidentally sleeping with a 17 year old because of no ID.

Behind the public scenes, he has gone on the attack again against Vernon Unsworth:

SYW2JBG

Vernon Unsworth has, rightfully, sued Elon Musk for defamation. The claim (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/17_09_2018_musk_unsworth.pdf) gives a good insight into Elon Musk's character and that his wealth and fame have clearly gone to his head.

I do hope that Vernon Unsworth is successful in his claim as I think these unwarranted attacks by Elon Musk have shown his true character.

These aren't simple crimes mentioned there. Exactly how did you come to the conclusion that the accusations are false?

On the basis that Vernon Unsworth has issued a claim with the following statements:

116. Musk’s False and Defamatory Accusations falsely accused Mr. Unsworth of being a (1) a pedophile, (2) a child rapist, (3) a child sex-trafficker, (4) the husband of a 12-year old child bride, and (5) a liar.

117. Mr. Unsworth is not pedophile
118. Mr. Unsworth has never engaged in an act of pedophilia.
119. Mr. Unsworth is not a child rapist.
120. Mr. Unsworth has never raped a child (or anyone else).
121. Mr. Unsworth is not a child sex-trafficker.
122. Mr. Unsworth has never in engaged in an act of child sex-trafficking (or adult sex-trafficking).
123. Mr. Unsworth is not married to a 12-year old child.
124. Mr. Unsworth has never been married to a 12-year old child (or any minor child).

If those accusations are true, then Vernon Unsworth would be deliberately committing perjury in the United States and United Kingdom. Both of which are more than likely going to carry a custodial sentence.

Why would someone deliberately lie in a highly public claim, knowing fully well that they will likely end up in prison?

If Elon Musk comes out with evidence of his claims and this is substantiated in court, then I will happily donate £1,000 to a child trafficking charity.

For him to be committing perjury, it means that first he has to be proven a child rapist. In that case, do you think he cares about the penalty perjury added on top?

If Elon Musk comes out with evidence of his claims and this is substantiated in court, then I will happily donate £1,000 to a child trafficking charity.

So, isn't the logical position to be rooting for an investigation to go forward and look into the accusations instead of rooting for either of them?

Hmmm, let's see:

One is a dipshit living in Pattaya for 30 years,
the other is a billionaire trying to make the world
a better place, giving us electric cars, reusable rockets,
green energy etc., etc.

Hmmm, difficult...

These are civil proceedings, rather than criminal proceedings. Unless he committed a crime in the United States or United Kingdom, he will not face prosecution there.

If you have evidence of criminal activity, especially things for crimes as heinous as claimed here, then why do you not present them to the authorities?

Remember it was Elon Musk who originally posted a tweet, deleted it and then apologised for 'speaking in anger'. He's since become embroiled in an argument with a news agency and made more claims without providing any evidence.

I also think it's a major failing on behalf of Elon Musk that putting 'off the record' at the top of an email, believing that the news agency isn't going to publish that email.

So, isn't the logical position to be rooting for an investigation to go forward and look into the accusations instead of rooting for either of them?

I don't believe these claims will even reach the steps of court. I think the fact that he's not made any comment on Twitter since being sued speaks wonders.

So, in other words, there's no perjury danger and he can say whatever he wants.

Or maybe you can just say, here's what I hear about that guy, you're the police, it's your country, care to do your job? But of course, it's also a possibility that Musk was just saying bullshit. In which case, he should pay the price. And getting sued is a good way forward either way.

Very true.

I also think it's a major failing on behalf of Elon Musk that putting 'off the record' at the top of an email, believing that the news agency isn't going to publish that email.

It's only advantageous for him that it gets published, so...

"Here, read this very publish-able paragraph that could get you more income if you published it, but oh so pity that you won't because it's off the record (wink, wink)"

"Look at how brave investigative journalists we are - we are not afraid to break protocol for your good, citizen!"

And everyone's happy :)

Since he's sued and the sue is for libel, Musk has to either:
a) Pay up and settle (with or without admission of guilt)
b) Go and dig up the dirt and present it to court.

So we'll need to wait and see what course things will take. In general, it's a very bad idea to make public statements on cases you're legally implicated because it can easily come back and bite you.

That isn't proof that Vernon(who has a 40 year old girlfriend) is engaged in such activity.

NGO's have a vested interest in promoting the concept of an epidemic of child sex trafficking since the worse people think the problem is, the more that they will get in funding. ECPAT which is one of the major groups "fighting" the industry, pays a really good amount for those that work for them in Thailand.

At only 12 years of experience, someone could get a job making $130,000 a year there working for ECPAT. The amount of people that they have to deal with on a regular basis seems very low, so it can't be that stressful.
Salary per year between USD 130k-140k plus international health insurance and some relocation and expatriate benefits
