The verge article he posted is pretty interesting I think. Yeah, we all know how useless the fraction of the code posted on github is.
ps I would still love to know where those graphics came from in OP.

just checked, indeed it's true, I actually heard of it but completely forgot.
Perhaps elon announced the release as damage control after they knew the code got leaked by an ex employee.

Until now…… I can almost guarantee it won’t be the same, and we won’t know 100% what the algo is.
Besides, I really wish they released a deployable code base to play with. What they posted is very incomplete afaik (i did not try deploying the code myself and I don’t think i can).

I doubt it, but I am just guessing. Every team is different. Chances are, there will be some common grounds, but otherwise they will be different.

Absolutely not, meta is way more advanced in that field. Twitter's algo is probably caveman tier compared to meta's.

Rest be assured, they are going to alter it completely. Theres no point in a social media company releasing their recommendation algos to the public. Thats like a con-artist explaining how he pulls off his cons, or a magician releasing how he does his tricks.
People will just abuse the fuck out of it and it will simply get patched up or already has been.
