Elementor + GeneratePress Remove Header

Hey Good People of BHW,

I need some help. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the header from the 'Blog' and individual 'Post' pages with Elementor + Generatepress combo. Using free version of both.

I have elementor header & footer plugin installed and made a header with that. On the mainpage I have no problem displaying the custom header instead of the default one, but whatever I do on Blog and Post pages it always uses the default header.

This is my first website, and I'm going mad over this issue. Any advice?
Or maybe someone knows better plugins + theme to build a site?

Why don't you use astra theme. Getting rid of the header is just a click away

Try using canvas view. It removes header and footer.
 
you have to generate a "template" ( admin section / elementor -> templates) and then, when saving, a dialogue appears, asking you where theis thing should appear. just choose the appropriate taxonomy or pages and it will show up.
 
Actually the problem was in Elementor Header & Footer options display was selected as 'All Pages' instead of 'Entire Website'. My stupidity
 
If there's no official option to do that and you know basic CSS you can just inspect the header, find its class or id and use display: none.

A hack indeed but having unused elements on the page should never be an option if they are never intended to be displayed.

Yeah, not the ideal way because the hidden elements would still technically be there, but I would probably do it if there are really no other options.
Otherwise, it might be possible to use the remove_action() PHP function to not load the header at all, but it depends on how the theme is coded (I'm not familiar with that particular theme).
 
Yea I have tried adding some CSS based on the official forum, but didn't seem to do anything
