Has anyone tried marketing e-cigs? if so has anyone had any luck?

Yes . . . I did an affiliate gig with several e-cig companies. Greensmoke, Blucigs, Instead, Lucia, but I came to realize that you need to invest some bucks and buy e-cigs wholesale so that you have stock on hand.
Doing the affiliate thing means that when your customers want refills, batteries, etc. they have to wait . . . and in this world, no one wants to wait. Everyone wants it NOW. So you end up with people who drop out and seek outlets where they can get supplies and accessories on the spot. So basically, being an affiliate for e-cigs didn't work for me. Maybe some people have done well with it but I personally think you will have more success going the wholesale route.

There are some CPA for them too.
You will face some issues as adwords does not legally let you promote them, and a lot of article directories won't post your articles about them.

eCigs were really popular on media buys for awhile, but I havent seen them around as much...
My personal experience with them? I had the most success with eCig review sites...You know, the old #1, 2, 3 set up...While I did try media buys with eCigs, I really didnt see a profit that justified me putting more time into it...From what I've seen there is certainly money to be made from them though!! Like I mentioned, they were super popular with media buys...and nobody is going to invest 1-2k per day in a campaign that doesnt make money...
