Elaborate YouTube Scam

Saw this comment thread on a YouTube video about investing in real estate and thought about how easily many people will fall for it.

Not really elaborate. It’s just common sense to make your bots interact with each other in a normal way. The person in the screenshot clearly overdid it and I hope they keep making mistakes. But I’ve been doing a variant of this for other white hat videos successfully.

There are still videos in Youtube , both ads and live streams about send US$1000 worth of Bitcoins and the Elon Musk Giveaway goodwill fund will immediately send you back US$2000 ... ALL THAT IS SCAM SCAM SCAM.
But still people falling for such scams. Greed and lack of research and lack of knowledge may be, but that knowledge can come by doing a bit of Google research.

might seem obvious for most people on here but I believe there's quite a huge number of people out there who will fall for it. The video is 2 months old and has about 45k views. The comment is ranking 2nd.

Oh definitely. Idiots are plenty and there’s no cure to stupidity but my point was that this isn’t elaborate and it doesn’t need to be as whoever that person is, is targeting people who’re not well acquainted with technology (older people probably). I can think of several ways to make that comment thread seem more legit and increase the conversions but that’s a part of IM I’d rather not have anything to do with. You can do similar or better with legit videos and actually encourage more users to comment (helps a lot when you’re getting started on YouTube).

Who thought it would be a good idea to give all of them a real-sounding name and a human on the profile picture?

Not to mention the formal English. Nobody talks like that on YouTube. There’s just so many things wrong with that thread but I’m not about to give pointers for scammers.
