    Hi,

I'm new to Bum marketing and I read backlinks are important. So what are the best ways to backlink articles?

    Currently I'm using onlywire only.

    Thanks

An easy way to get backlinks for one of your articles is to write a similar one that includes a link to the article you want to rank for. Then you submit the second article to hundreds of article directories. This way you'll get lots of backlinks fast. You can also build linkwheels around the article you want to rank for, make blog and forum postings, xrumer blast, etc.

If you install the SEO for Firefox plugin and look at the volume of backlinks that high ranking articles have, you will see that you need hundred/thousands of links to compete for decent keywords.

The traditional methods for getting these are ways like outsourcing, manual linkbuilding and using services like LinkVana (which is pretty pricey).

Like any sort of linkbuilding, you need VOLUME now for your articles (like any site) so adjust your timetable of expectations accordingly.

    - Create profiles on forums and leave a link in your signature/bio section.

    - Socially bookmark them. Onlywire is fairly limited so get something like Bookmarking Demon.

    - Create web 2.0 sites like Blogger, Xanga, etc, and link back to your articles at the end of each post.
