I'm a newbie to the SEO world and have not much knowledge about SEO and link building. Currently, I'm running a website which is based on Android and iOS tools. It's traffic going down day by day. Recently I didn't create any backlink for the website. What are the effective link building methods in 2020? I tried guest posting but it didn't go well cause the site owners don't reply back to my emails. Can anyone tell me how to create backlinks effectively?

Every link building method works well if you use it properly. You can try using web 2.0s with unique content, guest posts, niche edits, social links, Google links, etc.
 
Playing with font's size won't help, that's for sure. ;)

Anyways, you contacted some people? Contact more! Don't give up easily. Dig deeper, as well. Don't just go for the obvious ones that "accept guest-posts". Good luck.
 
Try rewriting your template for webmasters.
Also, a good method for obtaining links is to have thematic forums and comments under articles, try to find sites that have comment forms and leave a comment there. Do not give up.
 
Make sure you tweet every day under popular android and IOS app hashtags.
 
Well, I would say do nothing :p

Don't do anything disastrous. Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing.
 
Just build good quality web 2.0 and point them to your money site
 
Start with some bookmarking sites pointing to your inner pages, profile links for brand value and create some contextual web 2.0 links with tier-2 links. Also you can join some relevant forums and Q&A sites. If your site is new, i don't suggest to go for PBN links (at-least for 6 months old site). And the most important is to make your site load as fast as possible.
 
There are many services on the marketplace, just find one that you can afford.
My choice would be a Multi tiered strategy/Guest posts or niche edits, it's up to you :)
 
Use guest blogging, get active on social media, use affiliate links from trusted sites, and also check competitor backlinks.

If it is a warez site, then nothing will help, eventually you will hit by pure spam penalty.
 
Same question. A new site, good meta (as I think). What's next? Buying links? I used to buy links for another project but these were not indexed so useless. It was long time ago, but still. Is buying links still good? If yes, where to buy them?
