Hello there, good people, I need your help please. I have a subpage ranking ranking for a lot of my niche keywords. ( The homepage which was also ranking mighty was removed after panda. weird I know!) the subpage. mydomain.com/lucky.html is optimised and keyword stuffed. Its not converting, I want to 301 it to a well designed pretty page on another domain, where I can convert it into a sale. I am in the services industry/niche. Guys please will the new site be showing in place of the above page or will I just disappear. I would like to keep my rankings.

Hope you guys will help

Herondon.

To the best of my knowledge 301 redirect works but only for the short term. I think there is a big thread here discussing the 301 redirect and how it was beneficial initially but sooner than later the penalty was passed onto the redirected page as well.

If your subpage is still ranking good for its keywords, then it doesn't have a penalty and 301 redirecting it to the new page should work. It can take a few days for google to pick up the redirect and send the linkjuice to the new page. But I think it should work :)

The url that disappeared must be Penguin penalized, because Panda is a penalty for the whole site and Penguin is URL specific penalty.
