.edu links from Spammy forums

I have been looking at a few places at getting a .edu backlink or two and I have found a forum that seems to be completely unmoderated...so as you can imagine is just full of spammy links....porn etc. Now what I wanted an opinion on is whether it's worth dropping a link or two in these sort of places for a whitehat site? Would the link be worth anything? Or would the fact that my link would be sitting on the same page and a whole heap of ads for larger cocks and sperm covered tits have an negative affect on my white hat site?? Ideas?

If your going to get shit links, you're going to need more than one or two, more like one or two thousand.

Try it out on somebody else's page first to see what happens.

How could there be any negative effects with anything involving sperm covered tits? Looks like a win/win to me.
