When finding .edu & .gov blogs to use for commenting/backlinking, is it necessary to find an .edu or .gov that is related to your niche? I figured not, since all you're doing is link building... ? Please let me know.
If you can get an edu link related to your niche, thats the best thing. But even if your site is abut acne, you can/should drop your links on edu blogs about cars lol
.edu's, and .gov's will always be very powerful backlinks. The more diverse backlinks you have the better. But both of those are extremely powerful. I wish you the best of luck
Try this way: site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "ADD YOUR KEYWORD" site:.gov inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "ADD YOUR KEYWORD"
When it comes to backlinking, it should be relevant to your web page... Irrelevant backlinks are of NO use. As far as .edu and .gov backlinks are concerned, they carry equal weight as any other backlink. .edu and .gov backlinks are helpful if and only if the website is an authority website and keeping up the expectation of an .edu and.gov domain.
If you have .edu and .gov links relevant to your niche that will be the best thing for you. But if you have chance to get .edu or .gov with any topic that will be also better. So, try to get .edu and .gov links as more as you can.
