What if I just register my own .edu domain, hook it up to cpanel, and make a quick email. Will all the .edu perks work?

How are you able to register the domain? Not unless you work for an educational ministry
 
But where to register? I mean over godaddy or what?
 
I can provide edu.pl domains
 
just an FYI, you CAN technically register edu domains, but its like edu.it, edu.ph, edu.pl, etc. they do NOT come with many benefits and most sites(eg. netflix, amazon, azure, etc) only filter with the ending of .edu.
the main benefit is unlimited gsuite (for now) but they dont give too much
 
just to add, vietnam, phillipines, etc are very easy to register, but u have to be from that country to register them, like with .eu

edu.it IS NOT an .edu domain.
It is a SUBDOMAIN of .it.
There are many sellers that sell .edu.XX domains but they're not real .edu are subdomains of some obscure ccTLD.
Ssimples ccTLD NOT .edu.
Originals .edu domains end with .edu
It is not difficult to understand.

Yeah i understand that obviously but if it still gives some perks and its free to register then i wont complain
