edu backlinks some free for you all

Thanks but I thought oggix.com messages are not indexed. It's almost like a frame where content/links are not on the main page but rather on oggix.com's site.

would the 300mb of webspace that my school provides each student on a .edu domain be worth developing in anyway? as a link farm? blog? or straight up landing page?

I set up a simple links directory of pages on my student page while I was in college, and sold quite a lot of "permanent one-way links" on it for $100 a pop.
(you can list your service free on the freelance programming sites under Link Building and people will contact you. You don't even have to work at it.).

Wish I still had access to some of those pages these days.

Great post on the links, but is there any tool out there to upload in and auto submit? Any ideas?

Theres a free blog commentor on here that would be ideal, but there is no import links function which is a shame.

Do you guys have few sites to create our own .edu blog ? There is one above but it is .edu.co and not really .edu worth :)

Can someone confirm if the edu lists above are still worth my time sorting through them and posting comments?

A few previous posts here state they are Spammed to death already, just not sure if its still worth my time going through each manually ?

thanks,

burnzrogo

MAybe it wouldnt hurt to try and put your link there, but hey dont knock on my door if you go down in serps lol, its really a rulette. It can be valuable but if there is zillion of links there with all the junk sites you never know if it can hurt, myself i wouldnt post link on it.

Its always nice to find edu link but if there is like 1000000 links on it hmmm

site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"you must be logged in"

I found this useful but wouldn't start from page1 results as all been spammed. Go for page 8-9-10+ and you should get some decent blogs. If you want to be more precise put your keyword at the beginning keyword+site:.....

Excellent links thank you hopefully I can find some that are still worth while

Google has said that edu and gov backlinks do not automatically carry more weight than .com or any other tld.

Also most blog platforms these days no follow the comments which make them useless in boosting your serp ranking. That is why no follow was invented.

If you do find an auto approve blog with do follow comments then it is probably getting spammed. All pagerank is divided up evenly between outgoing links on the page which will also make that pretty useless.

Profile backlinks are ok if they are do follow and public but may be hard to get indexed or counted. A lot of the time but not most, they get deleted or turned into no-follow links.

And where did you got this source? Any links to prove?

Here is a good one.
There are also other videos about the no follow tag if you search their webmasters channel on youtube.

Have you tested this information out for yourself, with your own sites or are you simply regurgitating nonsense from what you've read.

Regurgitating nonsense? Did you really take your time and watch the video?? That guy is Matt Cutts, head of Google's webspam team! Not some no name affiliate marketer trying to make a few bucks by giving away free advice. Gosh, these people with 1 post, posting nonsense questions without even doing a research whatsoever, are killing me...

Wrong. Nofollow means it doesn't pass PR juice. But, it's still counted as a backlink and still impacts your SERPs. Bear these things in mind: 1 - Google is NOT the only search engine so structuring your marketing efforts to only please them is stupid. 2 - only having **************** backlinks will make ALL of your backlinks look suspect because it just isn't natural.

Quit wasting time worrying about do/nofollow and just get the link.
