I doesn't matter what kind of TDL it is. It's the quality that matters. But generally gov and edu have better quality so it creates an illusion of better rankings. You either contact gov and edu or hope they link to you.

The links that are sold here are not proper gov links, they tend to be profiles.

.edu and .gov sites are usually sites with a lot of authority and trust, that's all. But yeah, most of the .edu and .gov links you buy are not particularly strong.

Ok, .gov and .edu links are very good, but what about links from domains like .gov.br, gov.ru, edu.cn or similar? Are they recognized by google as the .gov and .edu too ?
