EDM vs Non-EDM

[40,500] Exact Global Searches
- 2,500 from Canada
- 35,000 from USA
- 3,000 from everywhere else

I got an EDM, but it's a .CA ...
For a .COM... Nothing comes even close! And everything is taken...


I'm just a bit afraid that people from the state might not like the .CA ending? Or they might think that since it's a .CA, it doesn't apply to USA (even though it applies to everyone)...

Don't know what to do...:confused:

Hard to say for sure unless you get direct advice from someone who's messed a lot with .ca's.
But people searching those keywords via google.com & not google.ca will not find your site very easily to begin with at least.

Yeah... Shit...

Is there a really BIG difference between ranking EDM vs non-EDM? Even if I use Facebook + AdWords and tons of whitehat?
 
.... its EMD not EDM lol....

and I don't know much about any other TLDs besides the usuals (.com/net/org/etc...) but if an EMD is taken most of the time you can add a rare letter (like z for instance) as a suffix and Google's spell checker supposedly ignores the letter and counts it as an EMD..

but i've never tested that logic and only have read on it from numerous sources.. Best to give it a try though.

For my keyword, in the TOP 10 sites, it has an .IE site (Ireland) and a .COM.AU (Australia) so I am pretty confident in ranking a .CA now..

Plus I will use AdWords/Facebook, so people don't really see the site until they go to the site.

yeah i wonder too, is there a i big value in google eye in EMD and NON EMD? because in my research i found some easy competition but with no .com .net and .org to buy.... should i just move on to the next keyword or just go for it with non EMD?

if i should just go for it, what you this is the best beside EMD?
1. word1-word2-kword3
2. word1word2word3randomword/letter
3. word3word2word1 or word2word3word1
 
Aww you know what...
Even though it's an .CA account, I think I will stick with it...

There is no other EMD available for this and its already fairly long domain (14 letters).
 
I suggest using .com's when it comes to EMD's... if it is taken then search other keywords to rank for... you can earn much more with a proper .com domain rather than going for other extensions.
 
Okay so I found a domain....

An example of what I have now is...

LeatherFurntiture.ca (example)
LetherFurniture.com is taken...
I can get eLeatherFurniture.com
Or iLeatherFurniture

So my question is... What is better?

eLeatherFurniture.com or LeatherFurnitu.ca or iLeatherFurniture.com?
