Editing wikipedia articles?

So I read a thread about editing the bottom of wikipedia articles (in the source field or something like that)
So I'm thinking about that + putting my link somewhere on the actual articles.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone regularly edits some wikipedia articles to get traffic to your cpa offers.

I know that someone might edit it back quickly, but the majority of wikipedia users just came from a search engine and are not going to edit it back.
SO you will get many visits before it gets edited back.

I read something about a minor edit and a major edit.
So a major edit requires a paid editor to look at it?

Does anyone have experience with this?

If you edit something incorrectly on Wiki, they will change it within five mins. That's why no one does it. The mods on Wiki are crazy.

after trying to put a clickable short-url there and failed I decided to not even put an url but a copy-paste url without http://www.
It got deleted in 7 seconsd and I got a message about promoting.

To all of you that think Wikipedia can't promote your sites, ask Harro. his link stayed up for 4 months.
