Editing in dormant threads?

1) Does any notification got out to mods of thread participants when you make an edit in a dormant thread?

2) Sometimes I see threads get resurrected from the dead with a flurry of activity from people who did not participate in the original conversation. If someone resurrects a thread, how to the other people notice it? Does the thread move back to the top like the BHW forum, or are these people sorting their views by 'New' ?

FWIW on my own sub-reddits I can view recent edits via mod tools, but I don't get any sort of notifications sent or highlights given when comments are edited.

No notifications, one thing that used to happen is that if you tagged people in a comment/post edit then the tagged users would get notifications, you could create a comment and constantly edit it to thousands of users to the post.
