I am editing content of my site after 1 year. Nothing new has been added to site for past 6 months.

Shall I submit the URL to GSC each time I edit an article ( which I plan to do for all 50 articles) or let google spider come on their own.

Just let them come on their own and build out some more pieces of content for your site and/or backlinks.

There are much better ways of spending your time IMO.

It really depends on your preference. If the content is good the google will index the page in a given time frame. Or you can also manually submit them.

I see some really irrelevant responses here. Amarinder did not ask if he should use the GSC to get his new pages indexed, but rather to reindex them after they were changed. While it is better to wait for google to index and find new pages on its own, it is better and faster if you request reindex for your updated pages.

GSC is one way, but building links usually works wonders.

I would normally send an updated sitemap, just to ping Google that changes were made. Idling for 1 year is a long time.
