So here's the deal: I try to rank a couple of sites so that if they are high on the first page of google, I sell adspace to compagnies that can be interested.

It is a known method with multiple threads about it on bhw, so I'm trying for myself.

    Example(not a keyword of mine):
I try to rank for ''dentist worcester''.

So now I have the EMD (exact match domain) and I have content on it because
it has to rank. But when it actually has ranked first page, high position, can I edit the content so on my front page I can place the data/sold adspace of dentists in Worcester?

Or maybe I should leave the content on the page, but place it lower on the page so the dentists can be above? Does anyone understand my problem?

Please give me advice how I can do this the best:(

PS: the site isn't in English so don't worry about my poor English
PPS: for more understandibility, read this thread: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...d-10k-month-online-offline-hybrid-method.html

PPPS: What's a better name for domain for SEO when dentistcity(dot)bla is taken: ''dentistINcity(dot)bla'' or ''dentist-city(dot)bla''?

yeah you can change the content and place your adsense where ever and see what happens. Usually your site will loose a few places but nothing to drastic.

I ranked no. 1 with an emd. I exchanged the whole article, but targetig the same keyword one year ago. And it still ranks no. 1.

I often changed the content of my other sites too and never saw that a site went down.

Why would it drop a few places?! Please explain. Too many people here are giving retarded advice.

There should be no problem adding a banner or anything like that.
The only exception is if you do a complete change of the page, and it won't guarantee effect your rankings, but it can. As poster above me said, he saw no change.

Woerd, I'm actually doing something similar locally. I'm actually thinking about just changing the header of the page into an ad/title. I'm sure the advertiser would love to have his ad at the very top of the page, and probably pay more. And I don't really care if it looks like crap, the point is to make money from advertisers lol.

    Ok ok, thanks so far.

And what do you guys think of the EMD with a - in it?
    does that matter?

i deleted a full article to post it on the mainpage...i droped 200 positions. so be careful. i changed everything back as it was and it took 2 month to get my old positions back. if you can, just move the content down the site but don't remove it.

It can affect your seo but keep good content on your page and update the content with better content. Polish the content over time. Updated content should increase your rankings. try keep your keyword density the same. banners should not effected the ranking unless you go crazy with them.

    Hope that helps

It doesn't matter. There are lots of examples of domains with hyphen that rank #1.

    Cheers,
