Ecwid or Shopify?

What is the best platform for ecommerce store? When I searched in internet these two pop up in serp. Do you guys using ecwid? if yes please share thoughts.

AS a ecommerce beginner do you think this is a good platform to start?

To be honest this is the first time I've heard of Ecwid. As far as I know Shopify is the most popular platform for ecommerce, so I think that's where the advantage lies. (More themes, more professionals who can help you with errors, etc.)

As a beginner I'd suggest you start with woocommerce.

When your store has gained traction and started pulling in consistent orders, you can then decide to move to shopify if you want or continue with woocommerce.

As a beginner with no tech skill shopify is your best friend.
Also shopify has more possible customization and functionalities the woocommerce.

Woocomerce has its own little marketplace of addons with 3rd party authors. I bought a thank you page addon and it dont work well for subscriptions product. I asked addon author to fix it. He asked me to fix it. Like WTF. I gave woocommerce a 1 star review on trustpilot.

I would ask whats the market share of ecwid?
Are successful ecom businesses using ecwid? If so how many?
