Economic Depression Method

We all have probably saw methods describing how to do the following. What is included below are my personal twists to make them a success.

I believe that every method has the potential to be successful. Your success rate will depend on your delivery. If your english sucks, then probably so will your conversions. I will briefly go over the basis of how I come up with my copy.

Geez.. I'm getting ahead of myself here. First let me explain what we will be doing. I could have just included this method inside my welcome back method, but it can also be used with CL and other various places, so I decided to open up a new thread.

Basically what you are going to be doing in this method is taking advantage of the current global economic crisis.

Let's face it, there are many people without jobs. Just take a quick look at the national unemployment rates.

There are a couple companies on the internet that make their living off of paying affiliates $0.50 to $1.00 for sending them subscribers that will fill out a resume of their website.

While this may be good for some. You are completely forgetting that these people you are sending to these kinds of companies are desperate to find employment.

I prefer to find a Clickbank product. The one I found was

It pays $34.29.. They have a nice clean landing page, and conversions are decent. You can look at the Gravity of the product which is 120.92 and easily see this. Not only that but 82% of their business is referred by affiliates.

I tell people I come in contact with. Enter desperate markets whenever available. In life there are "Wants & Needs".. I might want a new computer... but I need to have money to pay for it. I could steal it I guess. But someone needed a job to pay for it in the beginning.

So now that I have identified that people "Need Jobs".. My next step is to find these people.

What immediately comes to mind is websites like Craigslist. Now if you want to make the major money. I would suggest that you invest in a good CL scraper and a good mailer. I will not play favorites to anyones program, but there are many out there that can get the job done, or you can just do it manually(tedious), but hey it works.

All you have to do is scour thru resume submissions from city to city and send people to your offer. I had a friend who is into mailings test this out, and let me just say that results have been phenomenal for her.


I'm not into CL deeply.. and my results were not as great as hers.. but I will explain to you how I used this method on twitter to make enough money for dinner for two at a fancy restaurant + dessert!

Now, finally.. going back to what I said about your copy. I use a 3 step approach that works wonders on the unconscious mind.

First let me explain to you how the conscious and unconscious mind works. When you can exploit the unconscious mind. Your conversions will increase.

The conscious mind is logical. It likes things to make sense ? have a reason.

The unconscious mind is intuitive and can make associations of information easily.

So what I use is a 3 step approach to attack the unconscious mind, so it can make associations with my adverts.

I start with a question. "Are you Unemployed?

This is to grab the twitter users that are either unemployed or know someone that is unemployed attention.

The next step is a general statement of relation. "I use to be"

They can relate to you because you have been in the same position they were.

The final step is ( Your cloaked hoplink)

Let's review this in full sequence. My twitter message would read as follows:

Are you unemployed? I use to be. (link here)

Now lets take a in depth look at how we just attacked the unconscious mind and forced it to make an association for those interested in our offer.

A persons unconscious mind will process this statement and say.. "hey, this link must have helped this person find a job. Maybe it can help me.. Let me go take a look.

Never once did I say that this is the reason I am no longer unemployed.

So in recap.. Find a desperate niche... Create Copy that attacks the conscious mind.. Watch affiliate accounts blossom.

The same principles can be used with PPC, or in relationships with people. cheers.

Only problem with that landing page is the "Dear Friend" and the attempt to stop you from leaving with the pop ups saying OK or Cancel.

Nice.. any idea what this site sells when you actually sign up? Affiliate marketing info?

I sent out 250 emails not much. Just a small test.

The email list was semi-targeted

So far:

Bounces 2%

Released 98%

Unsubscribes 1.6%

Opens 4.5%

Clicks 0.0%

Forwards 0.0%

Complaints 0.4% (lol)

Obviously the major point here is the type of list that you use. This are still early numbers, just thought id show some stats.

Just a thought for those that want to try this - Google Profits pays around $25 and up, depending on network (I just looked quickly at Copeac, but I'm sure other Networks carry it) and it only hits the customer up for $2.29 up front instead of $45 up front.

Might raise your conversions. Worth a split test, anyway. Good idea, props to Op!

cl spammers are posting this to every ad on clist not just the emplyment section. i get hundreds of these emails everyday. clist has a ton of traffic that money can be made from.
