I have a ecommerce website and as you can imagine most of the content is from the "manufacturer" that is used in h1,h2, description and metas. I am aware to overcome this you need to write unique content for each product and category. My question is: If you use a unique description for a product but still use the product name in headings and metas - will you outrank the ones simply duplicating all the product content?

Unique content is better than non-unique. Doesn't mean you rank above anybody, just better for your rank compared to not having it.

Just write your own lines, 5-10 lines of text about every product, it's not that hard.

1. Google will rank you better

2. Visitors will like it

3. You will get more sales
