Ecommerce keywords and web 2.0 links

    I've added two new niches to my site in the last two months, but they are mainly ecommerce keywords, no best or review keywords about, unless you count under 50 searches. The two new niches are related to the original content of the site, home ware and more suited to women!

    I've used the same stratgedy as for best and review keywords, I've added up to 10 expired web 2.0 links for each keyword. Some of the keywords that I've back linked are nowhere to be seen and one keyword for 1600 US searches is on page 2, the others are mainly on page 3 and 4.

    I published some content 17th April, 1500 words, ecommerce keyword with competition that includes etsy, houzz, pinterest, foter, wayfair and a few home ware blogs. The keyword went in at page 3 and climbed to page 2 after 5 days with no back links. Another keyword is sitting at 16 for two variants with and without an "s" on the end, 1900 US searches and with just one web 2.0 link, this was published on 23rd March., another ecommerce type of keyword with similar competition.

    Should I remove some of the web 2.0s on poorly performing keywords? If the content is ranking on page 2 without any back links, maybe add just a couple of web 2.0s instead of 10. From what I can see, a lot of the other sites have not optimized the keywords in the url, page title and meta. I'm not bothered about hitting position one, just having maybe 10+ pages on the first page.
