[eCommerce] First Time at Amazon Affiliation

I typically started my social media accounts with a mixture of manual and botting. I tend to 'age' my accounts for several months by adding content to those and interacting with others before I even create my actual marketing 'campaigns'. After gaining a good number of followers/traction, I hire a VA to handle to repeated process of interacting/manual social media postings. This gives me time to focus on new projects or refine my current ones.

Also with note to Facebook pages, I manage several dozen of them in several niches so having the VA to assist me is crucial to putting this on autopilot. Many of the niches I target are fairly broad and this actually helps me to cross over to other narrower niches more easily. As soon as I build a new campaign, I already have the broader niche that can be targeted and I can use this existing traffic source to help grow the new FB page.

Once I have my general audience, I can use testing on FB ads to further narrow my targeted audience. I test constantly and when I think I have it, I test some more. Tracking is essential too so that I can see what converts and what doesn't. This allows me to focus my ad spending into a more efficient conversion process.

Interesting, I see that you like to test, A LOT. Which is a good thing; especially since you're using FB ads and you can blow through money pretty fast there.

Thanks for giving me a bit of insight to what you do, I really appreciate it! :)

[Day 18] May 18, 2016

SEO
Playing around with the landing page to optimize my on-page seo for my keyword. Nothing fancy here, just aiming for the green light form Yoast SEO.

So the 5 domains in my PBN are done and I have dropped my linked in each of them on the homepage. I'm going to be scraping some more domains tomorrow and expand it to 10 domains in my PBN by the end of this month.

I've replaced all the articles in GSA SER with new ones and new emails too. I felt like it was time to change my emails anyways. Oh yeah, I took out a few engines in GSA SER and I'm looking to purchase GSA Platform Identifier soon to help me with engine selection in the future.

I want to power up a few web2.0 that are indexed and with SAPE or any powerful links. I'm thinking about doing this later on in May to see how my website is coming along and where I stand with my keyword.

Here's to hoping my website appears in the top 300 for my keyword so I can finally start seeing it on SERPBook. :p;)

Social Media
Twitter needed a verification. Looks like i'm going to have to tweak the settings for it a bit. Luckily I had the phone number that was associated with my twitter account so I didn't lose it and thank god too. Twitter is my main source of traffic at the moment.

Stats
Twitter - 623 Followers +74

[Day 20] May 10, 2016
Looks like I had a typo from my last update, it was suppose to be May 8, no the 18th. :P

SEO
Okay, so my I purchased 5 more expired domains for my PBN. Domains have great metrics, backlinks, clean history, and they each have TF15+. 2/5 of these domains are now indexed and i'm expecting the other three to index by the end of this week. I'm going to start putting together the first two that have been indexed and drop my link into them.

As I'm writing this update, I have ScrapeBox running and gather a huge list of Twitter pages. I'm going to do what Leith mentioned in his "5 Years ON BHW" thread about Twitter pages and point them to my PBN to help power them up even more. I'm aiming to get my money site to TF20~ so it'll start having some authority.

Indexing is slowly increasing and I'll start a second batch of web2.0, EDUs, and profiles as soon as all of my current ones are indexed

Keyword is still no where to be seen, but from what Google Cache is telling me. My website hasn't been crawled since May 2. I'm hoping to see my keyword the next time Google crawls my site. If not, I'm going to really have to work on my on-page.

Social Media

I forgot to resume my Twitter on FollowLiker after my SMS verification. So the past 2 days(?) it hasn't been doing anything except gain natural amounts of followers.

Stats
Twitter - 646 Followers +26
Pinterest - 497 Followers +42
Instagram - 1028 Followers +83

[Day 21] May 11, 2016
Woke up and checked Google analytics and saw that I had 25 visitors from 'Organic Search'. I was excited as fuck and got out of bed and went to my laptop to checkout what was happening.

Excitement died when I found out it wasn't any of my keywords that starting ranking over night. It was some weird keyword that I wasn't even targeting and it was a url instead of a phrase. So I went back to sleep lol.

I can't wait until I wake up to actual organic search traffic one morning. That's the life right there.

SEO
2 out of 10 of my domains in my PBN lost their TF, but instead of replacing them buy scraping for new ones and spending money on registering them. I'm just going to turn both of them into 301 redirects. I mean they're already indexed right? I'm going to be buying SAPE links and point them to them. There's a great guide here on BHW by asap1 for those new to SAPE. I'm going to be adding my own little twists into it to make sure these SAPE links aren't going to give my site STDs.

Now I have 8 domains in my PBN and 1 of the new ones I added still needs to be indexed. I've added an article to each of the new ones and dropped my link already. After I finish looking for SAPE links I'm going to touch up the sites a bit and add another article to all of my domains. So 8 new articles in total today.

I completely forgot to actually research LT keywords for GSA SER, so I've been using anchors that weren't really the best. This should have been done on Day 1. Oh well, better day 21 than day 10927390812. I used SEMRush and KeywordTool to help find keywords related to my main keyword that has at least 10 searches / month. All of these seem to be product keywords and can generate some good money once they start ranking.

Social Media Stats
Twitter - 667 Followers +21

[Day 21] May 11, 2016 - Update #2

SEO

I've spent the entire day filtering through SAPE and adding links to my GBL(global blacklist). Now every time I'm looking for new links, there will only be the links that passed my checks. Sure there are going to be new links, but I'll just run through the list through the filter a few times and add the links to the GBL.

So I added 10 - 20 SAPE links to 5 Web2.0 and to 2 of my expired domains that had their metrics dropped.

This is all I'm going to be doing for the rest of the month. For the rest of the month I'm going to be maintaining / updating GSA SER, indexing my T1's, and pray to god I start seeing some movement in the SERPs. Oh yeah, and the twitter pages too.

Social Media
Growing growing growing. Going to start adding some manual pins of high quality stock imagery with backlinks to my website.

The one thing that I love about Pinterest that I haven't talked about yet is the analytics built into it for businesses. Since I've been automating for many repins I can see which repins have done the best so far. From here I can try and mimic in creating those kinds of pins and work on my CTR to my site from there.

Even though I'm not doing much for SEO for the rest of the month, there's still plenty to do for this project.

Thanks for posting this detailed Journey and good luck !

What type of content do you use for money site ? I mean does it have any big unique pillar articles or only product posts with minimum content ? Just asking because you are having hard time ranking in Google. Maybe keywords are highly competitive ?

No problem! I just wish that I had some results for you guys to read. :P

My content is product posts with minimum content and I don't think the keyword is tough. None of the top 10 are optimized for it but they are ranking based on their root domains authority.

I don't mind the struggle I'm going through right now, I get to test lots of different things in SEO for this project. The journey itself is more fun than anything else, especially the learning.
I see it the same as when I train in BJJ / MMA, once you get to the next level, you're just thinking "well shit, i worked so hard to get here.. now what?" :P

I am going to be playing around with the on-page to see if that'll have any affect on it, maybe set up another dummy site to see if that one will appear within the top 300. Who knows, maybe Google is just being a complete jerk with me right now. It's to soon to tell as it hasn't even been a month yet. :)

**TO ANYONE ELSE WHO IS STRUGGLING WITH THEIR PROJECT RIGHT NOW, YOU BETTER NOT FUCKING QUIT AND STRUGGLE ALONG WITH ME! WE'RE GOING TO MAKE IT**

[Day 22] May 12, 2016

SEO

Playing around with GSA to bump up my LPM. It was at 7~ LPM and now it's at 30~ LPM. I wanted to make GSA SER do what it does best, build more links than you expected as I really want my T1's to get indexed by the end of May.

Still no SERP movements, oh well. Nothing you can do but to just wait and then do more. Current plan is to keep trying to index my remaining T1s and then see if there's movement. If there isn't, build more T1s, and look for more high quality links.

The web2.0's that I placed SAPE links on had their Moz metrics BLOW up. Here's a screenshot:

Hoping that Majestic picks up on these updates soon and applies them to my main site.

Social Media
Needed to play tweak the Twitter settings on FollowLiker since I needed to SMS verify the account again. This time I remember to resume on FollowLiker. :P

Maybe content is the problem. Why not add few pillar articles ? Just few big juicy articles about your keyword phrases but without any ads on those. Give it a try ! :)

Definitely wouldn't hurt to try. I'll get some content ready and figure out how to place it in to the page that I'm trying to rank for. Thanks for the input! :)

[Day 33] May 23, 2016
Here's a update as things are still to pick up with the project!

A few things have changed, I switched to Clicky Analytics from Google Analytics. I just prefer the real time updates it provides and the overall feel of it.

Still haven't had a sale though, but I'm just happy that my site is starting to get organic traffic! :)

SEO
I took off the SAPE links that I built before since I can't seem to update my balance on the site with any of my Credit Cards. So instead I've been really focusing on my GSA links. Building links that have =< 100 OBL, TF30 Domains (using GSA Proxy Scraper as a middleware for the links being built), and focusing on platforms that others have recommended here on BHW and on GSA Forums.

Main keyword still isn't anywhere to be seen in the Top 300, oh well, guess the keyword is a pretty competitive keyword. I don't really care if the keyword is easy or hard, I only care if the keyword will make me money. :P

I have 37 LSI keywords that I'm targeting for this project, these keywords vary from xx - xxx searches / month. All product keywords and can potentially generate me good money if they start ranking. These keywords are starting to appear in the Top 100 one by one and there are other keywords that are bringing me in 'Organic Traffic'. The problem is that I have no idea what these keywords are lol, they are marked as [Secured Search] which is common when the user is using Google with a Google Account. There's no way to actually find out what these keywords are. :(

Social Media
Haven't really been focusing on this because the traffic is all over the place. I only want USA / Canadian traffic because they're more incline to use the .com version of Amazon and that's where I signed up as an affiliate. Everything is still running on FollowLiker for these and the accounts are still growing, but other then that, I haven't really done much.

[Day 34] May 24, 2016

SEO

Oh yeah! My main keyword has finally appeared in the serps and it's in the Top 100. Here's picture below:

44060759d0.png
What did I do to get it to appear? Nothing but patience lol, seriously. I haven't done anything new in a few weeks; I've been waiting to see how everything I did before would impact the site.
On top of this, my LSI keywords are also starting to appear, but they're jumping a lot. This is usually a good sign and I can't wait for the dust to settle. I'm already to expand my PBN even more, but I'll be waiting another week or two before that.

Super exciting stuff for me right now as I thought this project was going to just fail and never rank. :P

RECAP
I guess I should count this as a milestone even though it's just something so small. For this milesone I'm going to recap what I've done SEO wise.
  • Built a PBN that has 10 Expired domains
  • Built 50~ Web 2.0's
  • Built 20~ EDU / GOV links
  • Built 301's to all of my Web 2.0's, EDU, and GOV links
  • Built 301's to my 301's (301-ception)
  • GSA Blasts everything except my PBN
Today I finished building Web 2.0's with LSI keywords pointing to my PBN and I'll be working on those Web2.0's too. Hoping this will help with my LSI keyword rankings.
