I am using interspire shopping cart for my online business and have a couple questions about seo....

Would having pages created specifically to add content to the store and target different keywords hurt me in any way with google? For example if I have a microwave store and the main categories are my main keywords but I want to target some more long tail keywords that I have found ex. Microwaves with self timers or something to that extent. Could I create pages that arent in the navigation menu but still are part of my store to help with my seo or does google frown upon this?

Or would it better to work on my blog then direct all my traffic to my main ecommerce store?

Sorry for the noob question but any help would be appreciated :D

I think the question is what are you trying to achieve? if you are wanting more traffic to your blog then target your keywords to the blog.

The Ecommerce pages that aren't in the navigation, if they aren't linked to anything then google won't find them and this won't help your rankings.

Just so I understand this right as a seo noob..... If its not linked in the navigation menu google wont find it because the spiders wont be able to get to the page? Is there away so that google would be able to find the page if its not in the navigation?
