Hey folks.
Internet marketer of 6-7ish years, specializing in social media and ecommerce (eBay, Etsy). I sort of got burned out. The past yearish I got into investing with a variety of different tingz. I'm happy with it, but it also taught me a lot. There's definitely a place to have a product you don't give a crap about and make a ton of money off of it. This is not what this journey thread is about though. This journey is building a successful ecommerce store of something that I have some love behind.
One quick thing, successful projects take time and money. I sort of laugh at the people who test strategies for a week before trying the next, or calling a project failed because they only have put $500 into it.

I have a product in nicely niched section of the fitness industry. Part of my "marketing" will be sponsoring local athletes. The reason why I threw the quotations around marketing is because I don't expect it to be a strategy that blows my sale up. I simply expect to break even, or profit a little amount with.
Why am I using such a strategy?
Well, it will be able to provide local athletes with more financial stability to further pursue their passions. I think it would be pretty cool to run a for-profit business that also sustained the local athletes.
The other way I look to get sales is through ads, and a little bit of social media. I will also build the email list for long term results.
--
What does "success" mean for this journey?
Well, that's something for us to both find out as we go through this journey. It's surely not entirely about meeting a financial goal.
Success takes time, so expect this journey thread to also take time.

Thank you. I hope many of you find interest in my journey thread. The first step of action is creating the brand, then start receiving in product protoypes.
Peace.
