anybody here ever authored their our ebook and sold it ...if so how did it work out?

I deal almost exclusively with ebooks.

The most important thing is to target a niche that isn't internet marketing. It's just oversaturated.

A good way to find out what ebooks might sell is to check out Amazon's top 100, and you'll see what type of books people are buying right now.

Once you write one, article marketing and forum marketing are great for sales. Also, send free review copies to blogs with high PR and they'll put a link to it on their blog along with a review, and you'll get -tons- of sales from their readers, plus great backlinks.

I have written 3. and of the 3 only 2 do well with clickbank. These are basically 20 pages each but have some good info.. DO NOT WRITE FLUFF!

Just curious, how many pages a standard ebook must contain?the maximum and minimum?

Ebooks are typically around 40-60 pages. I've seen many that had less, but they're normally sold as "reports."

If you are somewhat good at writting, creating a 50 pages ebook can be done within a day or so. (rewriting too)
And you can outsource a professional design for $100.
Then flip the site on sitepoint for $450 to $750 as a startup site - clickbank ready. Goo way to generate money easily ;)
