eBook Payment via SMS

Hey guys,

I was wondering whether there is a service that allows my customers to pay for an eBook on my site by sending a SMS to a number?

Ideally, I would be able to set the price and the customers number will be stored for SMS marketing.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated,

Hello there,

There are plenty companies out there that offer "micro payments" (Yahoo it - I hate g00gle) and lock content together, so once they make the payment they will get to the download page by placing a code they will be getting on their phones.

There are just 2 small problems with this idea:
1. Payments can take up to 90 days to reach you (Really..)
2. They keep a huge % of the SMS cost (the SMS costs are also predefined by them)

2. Okay, but you are able to set the price as long as it is above a certain limit?

Can you also collect the number and send out messages, sms marketing so to speak?

Nope you can't really alter the price in any way. There are predefined prices for example $1/$2/$5 and you can choose one of them.

I am not sure about the numbers collection though. You could always make a custom made page for that if you want that done.

Ussualy such payment providers take up to 40%.

It deepends really how "simple" is the buying proces... if simplier, more expensive.
