oryte guys.
so today i got done with my ebook.

now the thing is i know my target market.. however i do not have enough funds to advertise the ebook as we all know advertising an ebook to reap full benefits of it takes a good cash injection.

what do u think are good ways for me to promote it.

the best idea may get a free copy of it :) :P

thnx

edited* sorry

The best way to promote an ebook on the cheap is an affiliate program. Offer a generous commission to affiliates, and promote your program wherever it's allowed. For example, you are allowed to start 1 thread here announcing your affiliate program. If your product is solid and you offer a high payout, you could recruit enough affiliates to get the ball rolling with sales in a hurry.

Just a thought. ;)

hmm thanks for the prompt reply mate. appreciated.

ill get on setting up a website then :)
ill read around and then post here what i could offer to affiliates

You can find cheap aff networks that don't cost a arm and leg. Then offer a good payout. If you use some techniques on this forum that will get you good kw searches, and maybe adwords, you could make some cash from your website as well.

You could try Scribd and/or Tradebit:

Code:
http://www.scribd.com/store/about
http://www.tradebit.com/

If you have a landing page set up you can do all of the same forms of promotion you would for CPA. Social bookmarking/networking, create linkwheels with web 2.0 properties, post your signature in niche related forums, outsource article writing for Ezine and all the major directories etc.

Also, a few other places to set up affiliate campaigns are click2sell and e-junkie

I agree with the others about the affiliate program, but that is if you have your own site.

You need a landing page first. Either use your own hosting, or if you still want free, then use Squidoo for now to test this.

If you go with the free route, via Squidoo, then have lulu.com host the ebook. At that point, you can sell the ebook in pdf format or even paperback.

Then, use all the free sources of traffic from article marketing, video marketing, and other web 2.0 sites to send traffic to the squidoo lens.
