I'm about to finish a PDF ebook. I'm using MS Word and I usually just convert it to PDF and that's it.

Not this time. I want it to have a professional look and I want it to look more professional - highlighting some text areas, more graphics for different chapters, etc.

Can you recommend me any software or tools for that?

I will tell you who I had for my ebook formatting, he did a great job and was very affordable. The guy likes what he does.
With regards to cover, we went with 99 designs.

Hello Friend, You can follow some software the name is ultimate ebook creator, Evernote, PagePlus, Scrivener, Issuu, FreeMind, Vook, Ommwriter etc. You can find so many software. But I suggest ultimate ebook creator. This is a good software and also nice update. You can see this website feature is too good. Which help you to design ebook.

I know this is a late post and more than likely the work has already been done but if you do a quick search online you will find free online converters that do the job. They are very easy to use.

Pros go with illustrator but it's gonna be work. Maybe get someone on fiverr on the cheap or post in upwork.

Find someone on fiver to start, you can get some great book formatting work done for $5-$10 per book.
