Hey everybody!

I have a few questions regarding buying/selling autos (cars, trucks, etc) on ebay. Below is my current thought(s)/plan, but after the ---- I would like your input and suggestions on how to make this work:

(Seller - me): Sells lets say a Nissan R35 GT-R. We're looking at around $80k retail from a dealership, I'm goinna sell for about $85k + s&h for a little profit or whatever.
(buyer): purchases the car in full - as I don't really have financing available... unless someone knows how to get around this as well - and I go purchase said vehicle from dealership locally and get it shipped to (buyer).
(Seller): now has a small profit, and (buyer) has his car. Everybody's happy.

Since I"m buying the car it'd all be in my name and whatnot (and the license plates of course would still come to me, and (buyer) would need new ones anyways... but I still forsee legal issues with this.
--------------------

Should I just apply to become an online salesman for a dealership so I can be licensed and do all of this legally anyways? Just getting a % for each sale I make? I know a couple dealerships locally and HOPEFULLY one that'll hire.

.... anybody? I know I'm a bit naive on this subject, hence the question, but I figure cars could be a good market online if you get the system down, then find the cars that are hot to market (like finding any niche, just with specific cars).

No not a good plan. First of all too much risk for you and you don't want to be handling that kind of money.

A better thing to do would be to go directly to the dealer and negotiate a % commission (plus ebay costs) to sell this car first. The dealer has nothing to lose. You don't sell the car they don't pay you your commission.

But if it does sell, you get the buyer details and then you put the dealer directly in touch with the buyer and let them workout the payment details. Keeps you from having to deal with the money. Then once complete you get your commission from the dealer

The dealer need not know where and how you sold it.

Smiley Bitches!

...... *Grinch Smile spreads over face* yesssss.....

The dealer need not know where and how you sold it.

But is it limited to only that deal do you know? Or do you think they would have to "hire" me as a salesman to do this? I guess either way I'd have to direct them to the dealership wouldn't I? They still haven't even answered my email, maybe it was too unprofessional. I know a few of the salesmen already there, the mechanics and even the front desk girls hehehehe. I go there a lot to hang out besides for car maint. :P

But I highly doubt they deal with the emails so I should have done a more direct approach to the company itself instead of the sales people... err oh well. Maybe I'll send another email in a couple days if they still don't answer, or just wait until I get back home and I can call up one of my buddies up there for advice on working with the dealership.

I am a car dealer. I personally find it to be a pain in the arse to list cars on ebay. The 3 I sold all had complications. the best thing is find a large new dealership that wants to dump their trade in's on ebay rather than send them to the auction. the reason they would do this is because they bring more money on ebay than at the dealer auctions. just make sure they would allow you to do "no reserve" auctions.
