    Hey,

I've been lurking and googling but needed some direct answers, hope it's okay to ask here. I'll try and keep this as short as possible, if anyone has the time to help me out I'd really appreciate it.

I had an eBay account that I was building feedback on, which got banned after I was scammed. I was scammed 100% out of my own idiocy, I always sent everything 2nd class recorded, someone bought several items and asked for 1st class without any tracking/recording to save £... Stupidly I agreed, lo and behold 6 weeks later they get in touch to say not a single item had shown up and thanks to eBay buyer protection they were fully refunded. I later found out the cost to record the postage would have been marginal, so lesson learned. I looked the person up on facebook to see if it was a completely fake scam account and in the persons profile picture they were actually wearing 2 of my items! Guh!! It didn't even occur to me someone would do that, now my eyes are open.

As it was so long after the transaction my paypal account was empty, things with eBay escalated and I was banned. It's only about £60 total to repay which I have to bite the bullet and do, obviously.

I have a few questions now though. On the old account the scammer left negative feedback on all the items she purchased, saying they were never posted, so obviously it would now be much harder for me to sell. I was wondering, if I pay my fees, can I close the old eBay and open up a new one fresh? Or would I need to stick to the old one and just try and rebuild on the bad feedback? I'm also trying to build a good page as I customize shoes and wanted a good feedback page to start selling on for my company, so I'm keeping that in mind. At the moment I'm just selling old bits and pieces of mine to build up feedback and buying packaging supplies, so the negative feedback might have a bigger impact on me? The shoes sell for a considerable amount (to me anyway lol) so I really want to put my best foot forward and be as trustworthy as possible.

I looked into stealth accounts, but if I'm using it for a small home business and personal items I don't *think* that would be the right option for me? I also only have the one bank account, so need to get my old paypal/eBay in good stead regardless.

Thank you so much for any advice!

After you get it reinstated, you can do whatever you like with it along with closing it.
