Hey guys!
i apolgize ahead of time if this is in the wrong thread, I thought there was one dedicated for ebay but i'm not seeing it. So im semi new here too.

I need to know in which case ebay summon me to do a sms verification after a place an advertisement?

Is this only a one time thing on new account? Where has not been listed any product before? Or are there more parameters why a sms verification is required?

They're making sure you are who you say you are.

eBay often asked to confirm phone number for security reasons.

all accounts and age it random but can happen to anyone anytime.

ebay can lock the account to a number in bio , they use to use paypal email but now sms very well used .

Yes make sure you have access to the number at all time. It’s random after the first time.
