so i read domain flipping riches and regged a few domains..

put up a listing on ebay.com under domain names > .com

its been about 36 hrs since and i cant find the listing under the .com category..

I sorted out the results by 'newly listed' and cant find it anywhere...

Whats weird is that I can see the auction via a direct link and when I search for it direct from the home page it shows up in the search results...

anyone know whats goin on? help please!!

oh and I stay all the way across in India...does that affect the way I see the listings in anyway?

If you do multiple revisions to your listing prior to it being indexed, it can fail to index. The direct link still works cause the URL exists...it's just not indexed. This happened to me once, and that was the explanation from eB. And I had made multiple revisions. They refunded the listing fee, and I relisted the item.

Not sure if it's the same issue for you...just a thought. Write to eB if it's a legit account.

.

thanks floor

but then when I search using the exact domain name that I put up for sale in the search bar of the homepage, my listing shows up properly.

that means its indexed right?

Hey, just for shits and grins, clear all your cookies, etc and make certain that they are gone, then re-start, log in and search. I have found that eBay's cookies can really screw you up because they will take you to weirdness instead of where you want to be. Your listing may be fine and it all may be on your end.

ok...i did that uptown...but to no avail...

and anyway the ebay counter shows a big 0 visits in 2 days and i suppose that means no one can see it. so its not just me.

nyway im online with ebay live help now and the guy just went away saying he has to consult with his tech team.

been an hour..lol!

lol usually if there is 0 visits that means egay havent even gone to check it out before getting indexed, so i think it is probably a problem on there side, I had this problem once with listing a car and nothing happened for 24 hours, and i found out egay were having issues with car listings being indexed and was fixed in 48 hours
