So I'm itching to scale up because I'm having relatively good success at a small level.
I first started using only the FREE 50 listings per month offer by ebay and I was selling about
1 item per day which was good for me as a beginner/newb.

Then about a month later, I decided to try the basic store, and now pay $25 per month
for the basic store. However, due to some selling limit I have applied on my account, they said
I can only sell 500 items per month or $6300 which ever comes first. I've listed about 150 items per month now (active selling) but since I'm capped at 6300 per month, I can't list more items for sale. Sometimes, in order to make more space, I'd have to lower the "quantity" amount for a particular item so that I can free up more money and be able to list a new item. I'm selling on average 2-3 items per day with this many listings, so it's working decent for me.

I wanted to upgrade my store to the $75/month fee so that I can list up to 1000 items free per month, but I think due to my selling limit, i would waste my money because I can't list more anyways right?

I think I read somewhere that every 3 months they will re-evaluate accounts to see if you're a good seller or not and then lift the limits. Is this correct? This would mean I'd have to wait for another 3 weeks or so before it's 3 months since I re-started selling on ebay.

I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on this. Is my monthly selling limit reasonable? At first, I wasn't allowed to sell more than 10 items at one time, but suddenly they lifted that and it became 500 or $6300. Now, I would like that to be lifted so that I can sell 1000 or $10k-20k? Not sure how it works. I'm pretty happy with how it's going so far, but I'm itching to scale up sooner than later. I'm willing to re-invest money that I've earned to make more money....that's how investing is done isn't? Whatever you earn, you have to put most of it right back in to grow even more. Then when you've made more money, you put that right back and grow even more etc. I'm ready for the next level up!

If you haven't already called ebay and requested your limits increased, do it. The worst they can say is no.

Make sure you are maxed out up to your limits, tell the ebay rep that you have more stock on hand you would like to list but are held back by your selling limits.

Its typical to expect an increase once a month on a growing account.

I honestly would hold off on the next store level until you really need it. The savings for the premium store vs listings fees doesnt kick in until you are listing/renewing over 500 per month. Anything less and you save money by doing the regular store and paying the listing fees.

You can request higher selling limit but i don't think it will help as your account is new. I think you should have 25 Feedback and you account should be 3 month old for higher selling limits. Do not subscribe for premium shop it wont help.

Change quantity of all listings to 1 that way you can list more items and relist once it is sold.

count yourself lucky, I have started with only 100 items and a limit of 3500, I called ebay requesting to increase my limits, and they said that once i have a feedback of more than 25 and my acc is over 30 days old it will increase

After maxing out your selling limits 3 months and a row they should raise on their own.

Bad idea. Feedback has little effect on eBay metrics.

Update: So about a month ago I guess they did an evaluation and raised my limit from $6,000 to $18,000 per month that I can list. I'm still on basic store but now I've found that I've used up all 250 and I need more. I've nearly used up all the 18k limit and I hope it can get raised again even more to about 36k. Then I'd love to get the premium store and list 400-500 items. Currently, I've listed 220-240 items and my sales are going up each month! Actually, I nearly tripled my sales output this month (Aug) compared to last month (July). So I hope I can triple it again when I can get my limits raised even more.
